In the world of computers, there are lots of applications or programs that can be installed and used, provided that the application is compatible with the OS (operating system) it is running on.

When talking about operating systems on computers, most computers or laptops use Windows OS, made by Microsoft. while others may use Linux and MacOS (especially Macbooks).

When talking about the most widely used OS, namely Windows, it must have the main application in it. The main applications in question are applications for opening documents, browsers, video players, photo/image openers, and extract applications.

Regarding the extract application, many may not know about it, even though this application is needed to open compressed files such as RAR and ZIP. Then what is file compression or data compression itself?

Data compression is a term in computer science for compressing data (files) into smaller sizes so that they only require minimal storage space, making them more efficient and also shortening the time spent exchanging data.

A compressed file is a file in which there are several files that are compressed into one file with the aim of reducing the size so that it doesn't take up a lot of storage and also so that uploading is easier and faster. So don't be surprised if someone provides download files in the form of compressed files such as RAR and ZIP.

In addition, many use this compression file to break large files into several small parts, especially for those who provide download links. It aims to make it easier for downloaders to download large files.

How to Extract Part Files to Become 1 Folder

  1. First, please install the WinRAR application.
  2. If you have collected all the part files into one place or create a new folder if necessary.
  3. Then block all the file parts (Ctrl+A), then right-click and select Extract to (the name of your RAR or ZIP file).
  4. Automatically, all the part files will be extracted into one folder.
  5. Finished.
In this way, all part files will be extracted into 1 folder. Apart from this method, you can also use another one, but it's still the same as the one below.

How to Extract Part Files in 1 Folder

  1. First, please install the WinRAR application.
  2. If you have created a new folder by (right click → New → Folder)
  3. After that, put all the part files into that folder.
  4. Then right click on one of the files → Extract here / extract here.
  5. Everything will be extracted automatically.
